Document Translation
Document length and pricing
The base price applies to documents of up to 2 pages.
Additional pages are charged at 5€ per page.
A page is considered as a standard document page. Documents with dense text, complex formatting or handwritten content may be assessed differently.
Price variations
The final price may vary depending on the complexity of the content, formatting requirements or urgency of the service.
A final quote will always be confirmed before work begins.
Turnaround time
We aim to deliver translations within 72 hours wherever possible. Delivery times may vary depending on the length and complexity of the document. An estimated delivery time will always be confirmed in advance.
Sworn translation turnaround times depend on the sworn translator and will be confirmed once the request has been assessed.
Apostille processing times depend on the relevant UK authority and are outside the control of Bridging Spain.
Urgent requests
Urgent or priority requests may incur an additional fee depending on availability and required turnaround time.
Apostille service
The apostille service includes guidance on preparing your documents for apostille, coordination with the relevant UK authority, and support throughout the process. Submission of documents is carried out by the client unless otherwise agreed.
An apostille certifies the authenticity of a document for use abroad and is often required before sworn translation for use in Spain. Bridging Spain is not responsible for processing times, delays or decisions made by the issuing authority.
Sworn translation
Sworn translation services are carried out by officially certified sworn translators.
Bridging Spain acts as an intermediary, coordinating the service and communication with the sworn translator.
Payment
Payment is required in advance before the translation or apostille service begins.
Revisions and responsibility
Clients are responsible for ensuring that the original documents provided are complete and accurate. Bridging Spain is not responsible for delays or issues arising from incomplete or incorrect documentation.
If any issues arise with the translation, reasonable revisions will be made where appropriate.
Confidentiality
All documents are handled with strict confidentiality and are not shared with third parties, except where necessary to complete sworn translation services.
Healthcare Support
Service scope
This service includes communication with healthcare providers by phone on your behalf, including booking, modifying and confirming appointments, and requesting information where possible.
Monthly service
This is a monthly service charged at 19€ per person. The service renews monthly and can be cancelled at any time. Prices are reviewed annually.

Communication
All information received will be communicated back to the client clearly via phone, message or email. Communication is handled during reasonable working hours.
Client authorisation
Clients must provide the appropriate authorisation for Bridging Spain to act on their behalf when contacting healthcare providers. Authorisation can be withdrawn at any time.

This service does not include in-person interpreting at appointments. Interpreting services must be booked separately.
Advanced Healthcare Directives
Service scope
This service provides guidance and administrative support in the preparation and, where applicable, the registration of advance healthcare directives in Spain.
Bridging Spain does not provide legal or medical advice. Clients remain responsible for the content and decisions included in their directives.
Basic service
The basic service includes the preparation of the advance healthcare directives document in Spanish based on the information provided by the client, along with a review of the completed document and clear instructions on how and where to arrange witnessing and registration independently.
Full service
The full service includes preparation of the document, review and finalisation, and support in organising the registration process with the relevant authority. Bridging Spain will assist with appointment coordination and provide guidance throughout the signing and registration stages.
Turnaround time
Document preparation is typically completed within 5-7 working days from receipt of all required information. Registration timelines depend on the availability of appointments with the relevant healthcare authority and are outside the control of Bridging Spain.
Client responsibility
Clients are responsible for:
– ensuring the presence of valid identification and required witnesses
– providing complete and accurate information
– reviewing the document before signing
– attending any required appointments
Third-party services
Registration is carried out by official healthcare authorities. Bridging Spain is not responsible for appointment availability, administrative delays, or decisions made by these authorities.
Representative (optional service)
When completing advance healthcare directives, clients may designate a representative to act on their behalf if they are unable to communicate their wishes.
This is not a compulsory requirement but is strongly recommended.
If the client does not have a suitable person to take on this role, Bridging Spain may be designated as a representative, subject to availability. This service carries an additional fee of 75€.
In situations where the client is unable to communicate their wishes (for example, if they are unconscious), and where Bridging Spain has been designated as the representative, we will liaise with healthcare professionals and, where appropriate, with the client’s designated family members, in order to support the implementation of the client’s expressed wishes in line with hospital procedures.
Confidentiality
All personal and medical information is handled with strict confidentiality and is only used for the purpose of delivering the service.
Payment
Payment is required in advance before work on the preparation of the directives begins.

Pricing updates
Prices are renewed annually. Bridging Spain reserves the right to update pricing where necessary. Any changes will be communicated in advance.
Third-party dependency
Some services rely on external organisations, including healthcare providers, sworn translators and public authorities. Timings and outcomes may be affected by these third parties and are outside the control of Bridging Spain.
Data protection
Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
