My aim is to help English-speaking residents feel calm, supported and understood during healthcare appointments in Spain.

Supporting you when understanding matters most.

Hi, I’m Claire

My connection with Spain began when I first came here as an Erasmus student during my university degree. What started as a year abroad soon became something much bigger. I fell in love with the country, the culture and the language — and eventually made Spain my home.

After many years living in Spain, including in Tenerife and Murcia, and becoming fully integrated into Spanish life, I have personally gone through many of the same processes that international residents face — from obtaining residency documentation to dealing with public services and healthcare appointments.

Through these experiences, I realised how easily language can become a barrier, especially when dealing with important situations such as medical consultations or administrative procedures.

Bridging Spain was created to help remove that barrier.

❝ Clear communication can transform a stressful medical appointment into a calm and informed experience. ❞

My goal with Bridging Spain

To make healthcare communication clear and reassuring when language barriers exist.

Clear communication helps patients feel informed, confident and reassured throughout the process. My aim is to ensure that communication is clear so that clients feel informed, confident and reassured throughout the process.

Bridging Spain currently provides interpreting support across the Region of Murcia and the Valencian Community.

My background

I studied Spanish and Accounting at Leeds Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom. During my degree I spent time in Spain as an Erasmus student, an experience that allowed me to develop both my language skills and a deep appreciation for Spanish culture.

I later completed a Master’s degree in Teacher Training in Spain, taught entirely in Spanish, graduating with the highest mark in my class.

These experiences allowed me to achieve a high level of fluency in Spanish and gain a strong understanding of Spanish institutions, public services and everyday life.

What motivates me most is helping people feel calm, confident and supported when it matters most.

work isn’t everything

outside of work

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, cooking and exploring the places that first made me fall in love with Spain.
